Zach Hyman runs playoff goal total to six in Oilers' Game 3 win over Kings

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are the resident superstars for the Edmonton Oilers, but Zach Hyman is averaging two goals per game in the playoffs.

Hyman, who scored a career-high 54 goals during the regular season, got his fifth and sixth goals of the playoffs in the Oilers' 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Edmonton takes a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference first-round playoff series. Game 4 is Sunday at Crypto.com Arena at 10:30 p.m.

Draisaitl had two goals and an assist, McDavid his first goal of the playoffs and two assists, Evander Kane achieved a Gordie Howe hat trick — a goal, an assist and a fight — while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins collected three assists.

McDavid has nine points (a goal and eight assists) in the series, while Draisaitl's postseason total is seven (three goals and four assists).

Veteran defenseman Drew Doughty scored for the Kings, who were eliminated by the Oilers in the first round the past two seasons.
